3/7/10 Seeds

Saturday's had some really perplexing results. Here is what I think I know:

-Barring a dark horse having a heck of a run and/or winning the A10 tournament, that looks like a 3 bid league. Charlotte, Rhode Island, and Dayton all lost again... St Louis actually finished 4th in the league, two games ahead of Char. and RI and 3 ahead of Dayton. The Billiken's did nothing out of conference, so they still don't have much of a chance as a bubble team, but after winning at Dayton and finishing so well in conference, they have to be ahead in the pecking order.

-UCONN is done. They lost at South Florida and finished 2 games behind both USF and Seton Hall in the Big East. Barring an amazing conference tournament run for one of those teams, the Big East looks like an 8 bid league (Cuse, Nova, WV, GT, Pitt, Marquette, Louisville, and ND)

-UAB lost a heartbreaker @ UTEP. The Blazers were 3rd in conference, two games behind Memphis (who swept them). Even though they had a nice OOC win vs. Butler, UAB is behind Memphis in the pecking order. The Tigers problem is besides sweeping UAB and Tulsa, they haven't done anything of note other than play some good teams like Kansas close in a losing effort.

-Well above the bubble, a couple teams had perplexing losses. It's hard to take Kansas State seriously as a 2 seed when they can't even beat Iowa State at home. Vandy losing at home to South Carolina was also quite unexpected.
