2- Pitt, Texas, North Carolina, Florida
3- Syracuse, Purdue, Wisconsin, SDSU
4- BYU, Louisville, Kentucky, St. John's
5- UCONN, West Virginia, Arizona, Texas A&M
6- Cincinnati, Kansas State, Xavier, Vanderbilt
7- Georgetown, Temple, UNLV, Old Dominion
8- UCLA, Villanova, Florida State, George Mason
9- Missouri, Illinois, Gonzaga, Marquette
10- Richmond, Utah State, Tennessee, Washington
11- St. Mary's, Michigan, Clemson, Butler
12- Michigan State, Colorado/Georgia, Alabama/Boston College, Belmont
13- Tulsa, Harvard, Oakland, Kent State
14- Bucknell, Indiana State, Morehead State, Long Beach State
15- Wofford, Long Island, St. Peters, Northern Colorado
16- UNC-Asheville, Boston U, Arkansas Little-Rock/Bethune Cookman, McNesse State/Texas Southern
Still under consideration:
Virginia Tech, Penn State, USC, New Mexico
Notes:
ND passes Pitt for a #1 seed, but only for today. If they lose tomorrow, Pitt would jump back ahead of them. Of course Texas or North Carolina might still have a shot at that spot as well if they win their tourneys. Especially if they beat Kansas/Duke in the final
Colorado moves in because they had a big win today. But they are still not a lock. USC is definitely in position to move back in with a win in the Pac 10 semis over Arizona.
Tulsa is a placeholder for the CUSA, since they are the highest seeded team left. I know Memphis won today, but now that they can't get a decent win over UAB, I just don't see anyway CUSA is not a 1 bid league.
New Mexico is a long-shot, but if they beat BYU for a 3rd time and lose a close game in the final, they will at least be in the discussion.
